WP5 - Actives
In this workpackage we develop the microsource and receiver arrays needed for both the workpackage WP1 (optoNoC) and WP2 (terabit link). Sources are based on electrically injected III‐V microdisks. The workpackage concentrates on different aspects:
- Full fabrication in CMOS pilot line,
- Improvement of operating characteristics of microdisk sources (lower threshold current, higher modulation speed),
- Demonstration of of microdisk sources tunability.
